Unit Three: Pragmatic American Dreams

In-class journaling:

Reflect on your current draft of paper two for ten minutes, and then submit the draft

In-class Journal #2:


Part One: What are social issues? What does that phrase mean to you when it is used to describe things going on in society? (10-15 mins)

Part Two: What are the major or dominant social issues you are seeing in the readings so far? What do these issues tell us about the worlds of work and play? Use examples that relate to character, setting, plot and tone to shape your response, and be specific! (10-15 mins)
